Qualcomm develop a next generation fingerprint sensor
Qualcomm has announced its next generation ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It features is better than previous generation. Qualcomm Fingerprint sensor will support under display of the smartphone. The user enables to register their fingerprint on the screen. The Sensor will work on Display, Glass and Metal. “ They can be designed to support sleeker,cutting-edge form factor ,unique mobile authentication experiences and enchanced security authentication said Seshu Madhavapeddy ,Vice President ” The ultrasonic sensor capable scanning through OLED display stacks up to 1200 µ m, Metal up to 800 µ m and aluminium stack up to 650 µ m. Qualcomm Fingerprint Sensor will support Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platform and Non-Snapdragon Platform(Samsung, ARM, etc).Recently the sensor is compatible on Snapdragon 660 and 630.
