Western Digital Reveal first portable SSD started from $100




Western Digital announced it's first portable SSD that can fit in your pocket. SSD that is durable, easy to carry, and comes with USB Type-C support as well.The size of My Passport is 3.5''in x 1.8''in x 0.39''in. The WD My Passport SSD available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants, and the price of these starts at $100. 



The WD My Passport SSD comes with password protection with built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption.  The portable design takes care of heat management, and the drive is said to be shock-resistant as well. The My Passport SSD works with Mac and PCs, and is compatible with USB Type-C and USB Type-A ports. It is also USB 3.1 Gen 2 ready, and USB 3.0, 2.0 and USB-A compatible. The SSD is tough enough to withstand a drop of up to 6.5 feet (1.98 meters).The Data Transfer of SSD is 515 MB/s



The price of 256GB, 512 GB and 1TB SSD is $100, $200 and $400
